Overall employment up but over 524,000 young people remain unemployed!

Always nice to hear that more people are in employment.

But still believe that not enough is being done to highlight that, based on official figures (available here), young people aged 16-24 make up 524,000 of the 1.36 million people currently unemployed.

That's 38%!!!

More has to be done to give young people the skills they need to enter the employment market and begin to create positive experience and prospects for the future.
