The Pioneer Award is the first of the five awards that make up the whole-school Personal Skills Programme (PSP).
The award is recommended for students aged 11+. Students develop and demonstrate the personal skills needed to feel and be part of their new school environment.
The award can be delivered as part of a secondary transition programme within their first year at school, or the activities can be embedded into your primary transition days/sessions. Your school has the flexibility to tailor the learning programme and activities to suit your school’s strategic vision.
Towards the end of the course, students work with their peers to create and deliver a ‘welcome pack’ for the next year’s intake.
The award takes 10 hours to deliver and students will complete their own skills passport to evidence their learning through the course and document their personal development against the core skills.
If you are interested in running the Pioneer Award at your school, then you can purchase this award for just £399 for the academic year.
