The Personal Skills Programme is a collection of learning programmes and award that allow learners to develop the skills and behaviours needed to be better prepared for their next step in education or employment.
As students work through each of the awards that make up the programme, they build and then demonstrate the skills most in demand with employers, which support their whole education. This provides schools with their own evidence of the intent, implementation and impact of their curriculum design aimed at developing resilience and character in their pupils.
Each of the awards making up the programmes are accredited by SLQ, the regulating Awarding Organisation with over 35 years’ experience in building leadership and life skills in young people.
All of the programmes below are built on our Skills Framework, which identifies the five most valued skills following research with Youth Employment UK – these skills are: communication, teamwork, self-belief, self-management and problem solving.
