This training will give new Professional Learning Centres (PLCs) insight into the content, assessment and administration procedures of the:

Level 2 in Supporting Learning in Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity

Level 3 in Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity

Level 4 Qualification in Supporting Pupils Wellbeing Through Physical Education

Level 5 Certificate in Primary School Physical Education Specialism

Level 6 Award in Primary School Physical Education Subject Leadership professional qualifications.

• Schools and educational facilities interested in delivering the professional qualifications need to become a Professional Learning Centre (PLC).
• They must have at least one Tutor/Assessor (T/A) undertake the webinar based PLC Induction Programme consisting of parts 1&2.
• The tutor/assessor must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PE background.

Overview of the PLC Induction Programme (webinar based)

The Induction Programme is combined of two parts.
Both parts MUST be booked & attended.

Part 1 - PLC Induction webinar  (free of charge to access)

A live webinar led by SLQ Sports Leaders, covering:

• Quality Assurance and paperwork requirements for Qualification Levels 4, 5 & 6
• Assessment procedures
• Course administration
• Information on support after training

Part 2 - Tutoring & Assessing  PLC Qualifications webinar (cost £100)    

A live webinar led by an education expert from afPE to ensure high quality coverage of the following:

• Qualification content
• Delivery ideas and activities
• Information on support after training
• Opportunities to share good practice
